Things to see & do
Explore Wiltshire
Some guests’ idea of relaxing is to do as little as possible, whilst others like expending as much energy as possible, in the greatest variety of ways, from driving a classic vintage sports car around the lanes of Wiltshire to attending local festivals! The Caen Hill Locks system on the Kennet and Avon Canal comprises 29 locks and is the longest in Britain. It’s amazing watching the boats pass through. Talking of boats, why not hire a canoe or kayak and take to the River Avon?

The Chippenham Folk Festival is always great fun as is the Salisbury Festival, the Salisbury International Arts Festival, and the Salisbury Food and Drink Festival. There are the ever popular Wincanton Races and the Badminton Horse Trials not far away. If you’re seeking noisier thrills, then you might like to spend a day at Castle Combe Motor Racing Circuit driving a racing car round this famous race track.
Talking of driving, you could also drive a classic vintage sports car through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside or up into the Cotswolds. Indulge yourselves from a choice of Jaguars, MGs, Austin Healeys, or Alfa Romeos.
