For Nature Lovers
The best Mother’s Day experience in Wiltshire for nature lovers has to be a visit to the glorious Westonbrit Arboretum. Bursting into life with spring blossom, mothering Sunday is the perfect time to enjoy a stroll.
With over 600 acres to explore and an impressive Exploratree play area, this is the perfect place for families young and old to enjoy spending time together in nature. You can even bring the dog along, as Westonbrit is home to the Forestry Commission’s Wallace and Gromit trails, a fun-filled interactive trail.
At just half an hour from Beechfield House, why not combine your walk with an afternoon tea or book a relaxing overnight stay to show your mum how much you care?

Animal Adventures
If your mum is an animal lover, then we recommend treating her to a visit to one of Wiltshire’s most iconic visitor attractions, Longleat Safari. At just half an hour from Beechfield House, it’s the ideal way to spend a day out together.
With both a walk and drive-through safari option, Longleat gives you the chance to see a whole host of animals, from African Painted Dogs and Giraffes to Lions and Flamingoes.
But for a truly unforgettable Mother’s Day experience, book a unique VIP experience, so your mum can get up close and personal with her favourite animal. VIP experiences start from £99 per person.

Green Fingered Mums
If your mum loves nothing more than spending time in her beloved garden, a trip to the garden centre is sure to be the perfect treat. Less than 10 minutes from Beechfield House, you’ll discover Lowden Garden Centre, a hidden gem where they still grow and nurture many of their own plants, vegetables and fruit trees.
But that’s not all that’s on offer. The garden centre is also home to a range of unique specimen trees from specially selected growers, plant pots in all shapes and sizes and a home and gifts section. They even have a Farm Shop where you can pick up locally sourced fruit, vegetables and meat, perfect if you’re planning to cook up your own Sunday roast for your mum.

History Hit
Wiltshire is a county rich in history, so you are spoilt for choice if your mum would love nothing more than spending the day exploring one of the county’s many National Trust-run stately homes or historic monuments like Stonehenge.
One of our personal favourites is privately owned Corsham Court, just a 15-minute drive from our hotel.
Owned by the same family since the 16th Century, Corsham Court House and Gardens offer the perfect opportunity to discover rare artworks, explore sumptuous state rooms and wander through Capability Brown designed gardens. From the 20th of March, the house and gardens are open from 2pm -5.30pm, making this the perfect place to while away a special afternoon with your mum.
