Beechfield House is within easy reach of a vast array of cultural and sporting destinations from historic Bath to the joys of Cotswold life. In whichever direction you head, leave the main roads behind you and you’ll quickly find yourself in idyllic Wiltshire countryside. Wiltshire is peppered with farms, local pubs, and pretty former wool towns and villages such as: Bradford-on-Avon, Castle Combe, Corsham, Devizes and the National Trust village of Lacock. Many of these places are well known as filming locations in Wiltshire.

Kennet and Avon Canal

This 87 mile stretch of canal connects London with the Bristol channel, and passes through some of Wiltshire's most beautiful countryside. Take a stroll through the pretty hamlet of Avoncliff where the canal, River Avon and Bath to Westbury railway line all interweave their respective ways. Plus, there's a great pub there too!

Wookey Hole

For breathtaking subterranean drama, both Cheddar Caves and Wookey Hole are within easy reach of the hotel. Perfect for a rainy day activity, Wookey Hole is one of the UK's largest show cave systems and offers a magical underground adventure for all ages.

Atwell Wilson Motor Museum

Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum

It may be small, but this motor museum in nearby Calne is home to over 100 classic cars, motorcycles, mopeds and bicycles from the 1920s onwards. It's a fascinating visit for motor enthusiasts young and old. They run and attend events throughout the year so keep an eye out for these on their website too.
